Animation workshops

It's been a while since I did a workshop post so I thought it was high time I pulled my finger out and posted some new stuff….

Recently I have been working with some young kids on animation techniques and concepts. Now, due to limited technological resources and the fact that I like a good challenge, I've gone back to the old Victorian methods for this. We've looked at Thaumatropes and Phenakistoscopes and students have learnt about ideas such as looping as well as improving their drawing skills. So without further ado here are some images of their work……
